Late goal secures victory for Eupen at Club NXT
On matchday 4 of the Challenger Pro League, KAS Eupen travelled to face Club NXT, the U23 team of FC Bruges, at the stadium in Roeselare. One goal in the final phase decided the match in favour of the Pandas.
Both teams cancelled each other out in an evenly matched first half, in which neither side was able to play a clear role. The teams went into the break with the score goalless.
Even after the half-time break, the match remained open at first. It was not until the 87th minute that the match was decided: Isaac Nuhu played a perfect through ball to Chris-Kévin Nadje. Nadje kept his cool in a one-on-one situation against Bruges goalkeeper De Corte and slotted home the winning goal to make it 1–0.
With this result, KAS Eupen scores three points in their third match of the season.
On Sunday 13 September, KAS Eupen will return to the away fixture. The match against Patro Eisden kicks off at 7.15 pm.
