KAS Eupen signs Ibrahim Diakité on loan from Stade Reims

KAS Eupen have signed Guinean defender Ibrahim Diakité for the remaining 15 matches in the Jupiler Pro League. The 19-year-old will be loaned to KAS Eupen from French first division club Stade Reims until 30 June 2023. The newcomer of KAS Eupen is a polyvalent defender who can be used on the right side as well as a central defender.

Ibrahim Diakité was formed in the youth department of Stade Reims and made the step up to his club’s professional squad as an 18-year-old in December 2021 with a first substitution in Ligue 1 in the match against Olympique Marseille. In the current season, he has been called up for 2 matches for Stade Reims’ B team in the 2nd division and 3 times in Ligue1. On 27 September 2022, he played his first game for the senior national team of Guinea against Ivory Coast.

KAS Eupen is looking forward to working with Ibrahim Diakité and welcomes him to the team.
