Florian Kohfeldt new coach of KAS Eupen

KAS Eupen has signed Florian Kohfeldt as the new coach of the first team. Born in Siegen on 5 October 1982, Florian Kohfeldt brings with him the experience of more than 170 Bundesliga games through his stints at SV Werder Bremen and VfL Wolfsburg.

After completing his sports studies at the University of Bremen in 2013, Florian Kohfeldt completed his training as a football coach at the DFB’s Hennes Weisweiler Academy in 2015.

In 2014 he became assistant coach of the SV Werder 1st team and in 2016 coach of the U23. In October 2017, Florian Kohfeldt was promoted to head coach of Werder Bremen’s Bundesliga team.  Until 2021, the new coach of KAS Eupen held the sporting responsibility of SV Werder Bremen as head coach in 143 Bundesliga matches. From October2021 to May 2022, Florian Kohfeldt was head coach of VfL Wolfsburg.

The first official training session under the new coach will take place next week and will be scheduled in the next few days. Fans and the press will be informed in time.

After having coached youth and professional teams in the 1st Bundesliga, I am looking forward to a new challenge in my coaching career.
