For more than 13 years, Aspire Zone Foundation (Aspire) has had the privilege of guiding and supporting AS Eupen, as the club is known to its fans. During this time, the club has grown tremendously in its structures, its professionalism, its youth development, and its connection to the community. We are proud of how far AS Eupen has come, and we are grateful for the passion and loyalty you have shown throughout this journey.
Today marks an important moment in the history of our club.
After a longer internal evaluation, Aspire has concluded that its original project with AS Eupen has reached its natural end. The foundations built over the past years are strong, and the club is ready for a new chapter that will focus fully on the future and on achieving its sporting goals.
With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that Aspire and Qatar Sports Investments signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the full takeover of the club – subject to standard regulatory approvals – including immediate responsibility for sporting matters. Both entities will work closely together to shape the process until the final takeover to ensure continuity for players, staff, and all who are part of the AS family.
Throughout our discussions, Qatar Sports Investments has demonstrated a genuine commitment to the long term development of the club, as well as a deep respect for its identity, its supporters, and its role in the region.
To our fans: you have always been the heart of this club. Your passion has carried AS Eupen through memorable highs and difficult moments. We ask you to continue standing behind the team and to support Qatar Sports Investments as they take the club forward.
