“We are happy and grateful for these fantastic opportunities, which are just some of the many benefits we get as part of the Qatar Sports Investments group. It is incredible to be able to use PSG’s world-class facilities, to prepare the team as well as possible for the second half of the season, which is extremely important for us. The whole team demonstrated their full commitment to our shared project.”
Successful training camp at the PSG Campus as a key preparation for the decisive phase of the season
KAS Eupen looks back on an intensive and successful eight-day training camp at the Paris Saint-Germain Campus at Poissy, which was completed under optimal conditions despite the wintry weather.
In addition to the sporting sessions, the training camp also offered special highlights off-the-pitch. The team and staff had the opportunity to attend the Paris derby between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Paris. The sporting highlight took place on the penultimate day with a friendly match against Red Star Paris and on the final day with a friendly match against the Paris Saint-Germain U23 team.
The training camp not only allowed the squad to complete intensive training sessions, but it also provided valuable time spent together. Personal exchanges within the team and staff were just as important as the continued development of the squad in preparation for the decisive phase of the season.
The excellent infrastructure available on site was another key benefit of the trip. Given the wintry conditions, a comparable training program would have been difficult to implement in Eupen.
Sporting Director Pasquale Sensibile expressed his satisfaction:
Sensibile also emphasized the importance of the collective effort of everyone involved:
“Everyone here is working very hard. As well as preparing the team, it was important to support the coaching staff, the technical staff, the players and the entire ‘invisible team’ as best as possible. By invisible team, I mean all those colleagues who are rarely mentioned, but thanks to whom the work can be carried out at the highest level every single day. It was a huge success for everyone.”
To conclude the training camp, KAS Eupen would like to extend a big thank you to QSI and Paris Saint-Germain for providing these exceptional facilities and for their strong support on site.
