In the field of education, KAS Eupen has been running a partnership with the Eupen Center for Special Education (ZFP) for several years. As part of the exchange with the ZFP, some of the ZFP’s students had the opportunity to complete an internship at KAS Eupen, gaining experience in the areas of cooking, caretaking, and greenkeeping.
A former ZEP student is currently undergoing training with the KAS greenkeeping team at KAS Eupen. This gives him the opportunity to complete his training as a student with learning difficulties without having to attend a vocational school.
A player from the KAS Eupen U16 team is using the ZFP boarding school this school year and living there with the students from the educational center, a good example of social inclusion in practice.
After some ZFP students took part in an exchange program of the European Football for Development Network (EFDN) project in Lisbon in the summer of 2019, a second group experienced the first Generation Amazing youth festival in Doha in December 2019.
Another highlight is coming up in 2020, when the ZFP, together with KAS Eupen, will organize a European youth exchange of the European network EFDN in East Belgium in September.
