Physical coach João Carvalho at the Aspire Academy Global Summit in Philadelphia
Renowned football coaches and experts such as Sir Gareth Southgate and Rafa Benítez exchanged ideas at the Aspire Academy Global Summit 2025 in Philadelphia (USA). Among the participants at the conference was João Carvalho, physical coach of the professional team, representing Aspire Club KAS Eupen.
The annual Aspire Global Summit is an exclusive educational event organised by Aspire Academy, which was founded in Doha in 2004 and is one of the world’s largest and best training centres for young and competitive athletes, not only from Qatar. The Global Summit brings together international experts to exchange knowledge, innovations and best practices, and promotes global cooperation between experts, clubs and associations.
The main topics of the congress in Philadelphia were the importance of continuous development of coaches in terms of the progress of football, tactical development and performance management, technological innovations and the rise of women’s football.
João Carvalho, KAS Eupen: ‘Participating in the Aspire Academy Summit was a great experience for me. The organisation was excellent, and the exchange of knowledge and discussions on good and important topics were very enriching for all participants.’
To further promote the exchange of knowledge, Aspire Academy is planning a workshop tour in Europe. The first of these workshops will take place in Bucharest.
