Igor Plastun to stay with KAS Eupen for another year
KAS Eupen and former Ukrainian international Igor Plastun have agreed to continue their collaboration for the 2025-2026 season. The contract, which expired on June 30, 2025, has been extended by one year until June 30, 2026.
The 34-year-old center back joined KAS Eupen at the beginning of 2025 and, after a long break from playing, was used in five Challenger Pro League games in the final phase of the season with the Pandas.
During his career, Igor Plastun has played over 300 games in the top leagues in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belgium, and Kazakhstan. He played 87 matches in the Jupiler Pro League for KAA Gent.
The 1.93-meter-tall player is a reliable, strong defender with good vision and a confident header. With his mental strength, Igor Plastun can provide support and security to his young teammates.
