Venezuelan striker Adalberto Peñaranda joins KAS Eupen

Venezuelan international Adalberto Peñaranda will wear the KAS Eupen jersey this season. Adalberto Peñaranda is a 22-year-old striker. He joins KAS Eupen for one year on loan from Watford FC. The new KAS Eupen striker came to Europe via Udinese Calcio in 2015 and played in Spanish first division sides FC Granada and FC Málaga. For Udinese he has played 6 Italian Serie A matches, for FC Granada and FC Málaga Adalberto Peñaranda has played in 39 matches in Spain’s top division. Since 2016, he has been appointed to Venezuela’s national A-team 16 times.

After signing the contract with Adalberto Peñaranda, KAS General Director Christoph Henkel stated: “With Adalberto Peñaranda we were able to sign a player who, at the age of 22, has already gained experience from the top European leagues in Italy and Spain and has already played 16 international games for Venezuela. After having had very little playing time at Watford FC last year, he wants to shift gears again at KAS Eupen. We keep our fingers crossed for him for a good season in the Pro League and welcome Adalberto Peñaranda to KAS Eupen.”
