In September, AS Eupen, FC Eupen and KTSV Eupen launched their 2nd edition of the ball sports school. In the autumn, the group that had previously contained a maximum of 35 children between the ages of 3 and 5 was simply divided into 2 groups of 25 children split into age groups (3-4 and 4-5). This was due firstly to the very favourable experiences of previous participants and secondly to the long waiting list of interested parents who were also keen to take advantage of the offer. This prompted the organisers of the clubs and qualified coaches Grégory Kriescher and Michaël Bricteux to make the training session more age-appropriate and to cater to smaller groups.
The campus hall was unfortunately not available for both groups, who were supposed to have their lessons consecutively. However, the management of ZFP came to the rescue and provided the use of their hall, which is also on the grounds of the campus.
Since then, all of the children have enjoyed a well-prepared and child-friendly practice lesson, where, as well as playing a lot and having loads of fun, they also perform extremely good psychomotor exercises. The training is rounded off with the renewed active assistance of the two supervisors Tanja Radermacher and Eva Bosten, in line with the motto “Never change a winning team“.
The 2nd edition of the ball sports school runs until 17th January 2018, when the clubs want to end with a joint training session involving all of the children. Training currently takes place every Wednesday from 16:00 to 17:00 and from 17:00 to 18:00.
It should also be mentioned that a 3rd edition of the course has been scheduled and the next groups will start on 24th January 2018. Interested parents can now register at the offices of AFD Eupen AG with the REGISTRATION FORM. The 3rd edition will run until 30th May 2018.
