Olivier Verdon moves from Deportivo Alavés to KAS Eupen

KAS Eupen has signed Benin central defender Olivier Verdon for the current season. The 8-times national player is 23 years old and 1.90 meters tall. Olivier Verdon is lent to KAS Eupen for one year by Spanish first division team Deportivo Alavés.

For the last two years, Olivier Verdon has played in France for Girondins Bordeaux B team and Ligue 2 for FC Sochaux. There, Olivier Verdon was a regular in the 2018-2019 season and played 30 championship games.

After reaching an agreement with Olivier Verdon and Deportiva Alavés, KAS General Director Christoph Henkel explained: “Olivier Verdon recently played through the entire season for FC Sochaux in Ligue 2. He is physically strong and a very reliable central defender. With this quality, he can also help us to strengthen our defence. We look forward to working with Olivier Verdon and welcome him to our team.”
