Offensive midfielder Nils Schouterden will also compete for KAS Eupen next season. The club has prolonged the contract with 30-year-old Nils Schouterden, which expires on June 30, by 1 year until June 30, 2020, with an option for another year.
Nils Schouterden, who had already played for KAS Eupen in the second division in the 2013-2014 season, returned to the Kehrweg Stadium in July 2017 and has since played for KAS Eupen in the Pro League, in the Play Offs 2 and in the Cup a total of 49 matches.
KAS Director General Christoph Henkel is looking forward to further cooperation with Nils Schouterden and stated after the contract was renewed: “With his rapid acceleration and his fighting strength, Nils Schouterden can always cause danger on the left side. In 2017-2018 he achieved 33 appearances and during last season Nils fought his way back into our team in the second half. He has thus demonstrated his willpower and assertiveness. Now we are happy that Nils Schouterden will be part of our team again in the coming season and that he will carry the young players along with him.”
