KAS Eupen suffer 1-2 defeat against league leaders FC Bruges

The KAS Eupen U21 team lost the Reserve 1A championship match against leaders Club Bruges 1-2. Hence Bruges consolidated their top position (29 points from 14 games), while the KAS Eupen U21 occupies eleventh place with 16 points. Club Bruges prevailed during their away match in Eupen due to their experience and good exploitation of goal scoring opportunities. KAS Eupen also played well, but had to pay dearly for their mistakes against the league leader.

The visitors from Bruges scored first in the 37th. But KAS Eupen gave a quick answer, with Qatari Saei Abdollah Ali equalizing just three minutes later. In the 42nd minute, KAS Eupen goalie Tom Roufosse gave away a penalty to the visiting side, but managed to save it. The score at the half time whistle: 1-1.

The second half was balanced with chances for both teams. Bruges finally took the lead in the 78th minute, and the score would not move until the end of the match, as the KAS players were unable to score another goal, despite their best efforts.
