KAS Eupen has signed a talented goalkeeper for the upcoming season. Romain Matthys who celebrated his 21st birthday only a couple of days ago is joining KAS Eupen from FC Liège. As a 20-year-old Romain Matthys was the regular goalie of FC Liège in the last season and had 32 appearances in 1st amateur class and national cup competition. Romain Matthys goes by the nickname of Kakou and is a real team player. With KAS Eupen, Romain Matthys signed a three-year contract until June 30, 2022.

Romain is particularly strong on the line and as a goalkeeper he provides his defence with a lot of security.
