KAS Eupen has signed Cameroonian midfielder Pierre Ramses Akono. The 19-year-old defensive midfielder is the 12th newcomer to KAS Eupen this summer and has signed a four-year contract with KAS until 30 June 2023.
Pierre Ramses Akono played for Cameroonian first division team Eding Sport FC Lékié lately and was engaged by KAS Eupen after a successful trial training. Before the summer break, national coach Clarence Seedorf appointed Pierre Ramses Akono to the national team of his home country for the first time.
KAS Director General Christoph Henkel explained after signing the new Cameroonian player: “Pierre Ramses Akono is a young and talented player for the defensive midfield. He has a very good technique and an excellent game overview. He has the potential to develop in our team and grow into our first team. We look forward to working with Pierre Ramses and welcome him to our club.”
