The 42-time Iranian international Omid Ebrahimi is playing for KAS Eupen this season. The 31-year-old midfielder joins KAS Eupen on a loan from Qatari first division team Al Ahli. Before moving to Qatar in July 2018, Omid Ebrahimi played 204 games in the first Iranian league. He gained international experience in 42 international matches for Iran as well as in 42 Asian Champions League matches.
KAS Director General Christoph Henkel is delighted with Omid Ebrahimi’s engagement: “Omid Ebrahimi has been a regular member of the Iranian national team since 2015. With Iran, he played a great World Cup against Morocco, Spain and Portugal in 2018 and narrowly missed out on reaching the round of sixteen. From the Iranian national team and the AFC Champions League, our new midfielder brings international experience that will now benefit KAS Eupen. In Europe, Omid Ebrahimi will be taking on a new stage in his career with KAS Eupen in the Pro League championship. We welcome Omid to our club and wish him every success in our team.”
