KAS Eupen hires Iranian national player Saeid Ezatolahi

In the final stages of the transfer period, KAS Eupen engaged Saeid Ezatolahi. The Iranian national player comes to KAS Eupen from Russian first division side FK Rostov. The 22-year-old midfielder will be on loan for the ongoing 2019-2020 season, with an option to finally engage the player.

Saeid Ezatolahi began his career in 2012 in the Persian Gulf Pro League at his home club Malavan Anzali. Through Atletico Madrid’s U19 he moved to FK Rostov in 2015. In Russia, Saeid Ezatolahi played a total of 36 first division matches for FK Rostov, Amkar Perm and Anzhi and 6 Champions League matches for FK Rostov.

KAS General Director Christoph Henkel explained after signing the newcomer from the Premier League in Russia: “Saeid Ezatolahi has proven his talent and ability both in Russia’s highest league and in the Iranian national team. With Iran, Saeid took part in the 2018 World Cup and played the group matches against Spain and Portugal. Although he is only 22 years old, he has already been appointed to the Iranian national team 28 times. I am sure that Saeid Ezatolahi will be a real asset to our team and will help us play a good season in the Pro League. We warmly welcome Saeid to KAS Eupen and wish him a successful time in our club.”
