The Generation Amazing international youth festival opened on Sunday in Doha, the capital of Qatar. As a partner of Generation Amazing, KAS Eupen will participate with a five-member delegation with two KAS youth trainers, two youngsters from KAS partner school ZFP Eupen and club official Jessica Loo in charge of social projects. After a 6-hour flight, the KAS Eupen delegation arrived in Doha on Sunday evening.
The first Generation Amazing Youth Festival will kick off a series of events leading up to the opening of the FIFA World Cup 2022™.
170 youngsters from all over the world are gathered in Doha and take part in the worldwide exchange programme. In addition to KAS Eupen, European participants include AS Roma, Leeds United, Sheffield FC, the English Football Association and the Academy of Paris Saint-Germain. Generation Amazing’s first Youth Festival runs until Thursday 19 December.
Since this year, KAS Eupen has been a partner of the Generation Amazing initiative, which has been integrating disadvantaged young people from all over the world through the appeal of football and offering them prospects for the future since the FIFA World Cup 2022™ was awarded to Qatar.
